Hello and Namaste to all who have taken the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In February 2016, I will be volunteering for a 3 month development programme in Nepal and will be part of the International Citizen Service (ICS) Programme, which aims to bring young people together to fight poverty, create goals for sustainability and to help make a longer term difference for local communities. 

The reason why I want to do this is so that I can help make a difference and be part of the change that overcomes the global challenges we face today – strive for a better environment, a united community and to help reduce poverty by creating and implementing ideas for self-sufficiency.

...and that’s where Raleigh International comes in!

This will be Raleigh International’s first ICS Programme to open in Nepal and I feel honoured to be one of many volunteers who will be coming to this country. 

The aim and focus of the programme in Nepal will be:

-Water Sanitation and Hygiene, 

-Increase awareness in local communities in times of hardship & show the benefits of working together as a unit; and 

-Encourage Youth Development  

I need to raise a minimum of £800 for Raleigh International Trust, who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS.
