Story

The Grace Research Fund raises money to help premature babies and their families.

Both my sons were premature babies. One was 10 weeks early born in 1988 (3lb 1oz), the other 7 weeks early born in 1991 (4lb 10oz). This was a very traumatic time for me and I am very grateful for all the support I received from the staff at the hospital.

I'm running the Great North Run for Grace Research Fund to help fund vital medical research - this is is a subject very  close to my heart. Without the support of the medical team, my sons may not have been here today.

The name of the charity remembers a little girl called Grace, who was born 14 weeks early weighing just 1lb. Sadly Grace passed away aged 9 months due to a lung condition. Her mum and dad wanted to try to prevent other parents having to face such a sad loss, and set up the Grace Research Fund, based at The University of Warwick.

Donations to The Grace Research Fund will go in full to support medical research into the best treatments for premature babies. Please dig deep and support me!
