Three years ago, I wrote Decrypted, a book on cryptocurrency. Through the book sale, we raised over USD120,000 for Seeing is Believing. The funds were used to fight against avoidable blindness in communities that needed them most.

Today, I am happy to share that the sequel, Deflated, is now complete! I hope to have your support once again - this time to fundraise for Futuremakers by Standard Chartered, a global initiative to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion. 


This is what inequality looks like -- the unequal impact of COVID-19 

In these three years, the world we know has changed dramatically - no thanks to COVID-19.

Everyone is at risk of infection and we have our own unique battles to fight, but not all of us have suffered equally.

Data from the World Bank show that income losses and hunger are more common among households in poorer countries. Within countries, employment and income losses were felt most acutely by vulnerable workers, women, youth and the less educated.

The risk is equal but the suffering is more acute in some segments of our community. And it is not surprising that the recovery will also be unequal.

Helping our youths build resilience for the future

If our future success depends on our youths today, then we need to do something to help them through this global challenge.
