We are pleased to announce that The DegreeArt.com Awards will be made available to four students from the UK who have been accepted for study on the Foundation course at the University of Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (CSM) in the academic year 2007/2008.

The inspiration for the DegreeArt.com Scholarship comes from Margaret Abraham, who is now an established artist (see: www.margaretabraham.com) but never got the chance to go to art college.  Her son Bill and her daughter Faye want to ensure that anyone who is good enough to get a place at Central St. Martins is able to attend, regardless of their financial position.   Bill has raised nearly £2,000 already for the Scholarship and Faye has donated a piece of original art alongside two pieces from Margaret that will be auctioned on 27 June.

About DegreeArt:  www.degreeart.com was established in 2003, and is an innovative website selling, commissioning and renting the finest artwork created by the students and recent graduates of Great Britain’s most prestigious art establishments.

DegreeArt is run by Isobel Beauchamp, and Elinor Olisa. They founded the company following their own graduations to provide emerging artists with a platform from which to launch their careers and to give the art buying public access to these artists and their art.

Isobel graduated with a BA First Class Honours in Fashion Promotion from the London College of Fashion in 2003 where she specialised in Public Relations, Journalism and Broadcast.

Having graduated with a BA in Art History at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2003, Elinor went on to complete her MA in the same subject at the School of Oriental and African Studies in 2004.
