Thanks for taking the time to visit the Havens Hospice Fundraising Team JustGiving page. We are part of the fundraising and care team for Havens Hospices. Help us to make a difference and continue to raise vital funds for our hospice so we can continue to deliver care to our patients and their families. We currently have to raise £6.6 million per year to provide care services. This is obviously a very tough time for all charities as most business are closed to enable as many of working public to isolate in a concerted effort to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, except the NHS and vital businesses of course. This obviously has a great impact on our income streams whist every effort to maintain services and facilities,  as needs dictates. We are in ‘Lockdown’ - no shopping, no dining out, no pubs, no gyms, no clubs, and NO HAIRDRESSERS.  Our very hard-working Corporate Business Development Team have come up with a campaign to raise some much need cash. There are a lot of women at home at present and they are clearly the emphasis of this fund raising idea; one for the women on the 'BareYourRoots' in the link. I thought that I would throw my hat in but as I am trying to hold onto my roots rather colour them, I thought that I will grow a beard. What! I hear you say, well I really hate every minute, in both growing and sustaining one. I am hoping that you will donate generously 'on delboysgreybeard', if only in celebration of my suffering. All funds raised will go directly to Havens Hospices and please do not forget to select the Gift Aid option to claim back the Income Tax (standard rate) that would have paid on your donation (i.e. £10 becomes £12.50). Serious though folks, it is to raise urgent and ongoing funds needed to keep Havens Hospices ticking over. It goes to the  people who do ALL hard work. On the 1st of May 1st I will send a picture of me with my beard which I think will go up on HH's Face Book page or/and one on the donation page but I will leave that to the Team Leader. hopefully last day of its existence, unless funds are still coming in or for those who print the photo to pin on their dartboards, will be urged to make an extra discretionary donation. You know it makes sense
