MUG Beard Up 2017
Campaign by MUG (RCN CH399)
MUG are asking men in Guernsey to BEARD UP in November. Our annual event is asking men to say goodbye to their razors for thirty days to support ongoing costs for local prostate cancer diagnosis.

Story

Gents, it's that time of the year again, where in exchange for £20 we have the partners' consent to avoid the razor for a month and turn up to work looking like cavemen, which for me personally is the dream.

If unlike me, you enjoy the clean shaven look and need some more convincing, in a survey carried out by the Indepedent newspaper in 2016, it was scientifically proven that beards make men more attractive to the opposite sex (and you can't argue with science).

Other benefits to having a beard are (please note these are not scientifically proven) :

A beard protects your face from the sun's damaging rays

It keeps you warmer in winter

It can ward off throat infections

It saves you 5 minutes a day of shaving.

(and according to a 1970s study quoted in the book "the dependent gene" can improve your sex life)
