10 Million Kilo Gym Challenge · 24 August 2019

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving Page. As you can see, we are undertaking a mammoth challenge in aid of Alzheimer's Scotland and specifically, the Dementia Dog Project.

We are going to lift, push, pull and squat 10,000 tons in less than 24 hours. We are a team of 10 normal people, not superfit machines who will do this in our sleep. But simply normal people with a willingness to help an amazing cause.

This challenge has never been attempted anywhere in the world on a scale like this. The previous attempts were only 1 million kilos, pah, we are gonna multiply that by 10!

The event will begin on Saturday 24th August and will be broadcast across social media sites.

Any help you can give will go a long way to enhancing the lives of the people who suffer from dementia on a daily basis. The dogs provide a lifeline for these people and their families and literally do prolong lives!

If you need any more convincing check out their page at www.dementiadog.org.

We thank you for your donations and support. Wish us all luck!
