I am taking part in the Great South Run in Portsmouth on the 16th October to raise funds for Dementia Friendly Petersfield. This is an amazing group run by caring, supportive volunteers. They offer so much so I want to give something back. You can see from the flyer the wide range of activities they offer and this doesn't include the walking football which started recently.

The Great South Run is the perfect event  to raise funds for the group, a 10 mile run around Portsmouth taking in the seafront and the historic dockyard and egged on by the crowd.

As you can see from the photo I have run this before, the last time in 2019. The medal was for finishing not winning!

Please check the page again before the event for updates on training etc and more information about the group. Dementia is a cruel and debilitating illness but groups such as this provide enormous help and support and most of all fun.

The group comes under the umbrella of Dementia Friendly Hampshire but all donations will directly benefit the Petersfield group.
