Story
Holly was diagnosed with a brain tumour in September 2016. The cancer was very aggressive and despite receiving both radio and chemotherapy, it spread into her spine. Holly died on 14th March 2017, aged just 28.
Towards the end of her life, when no further treatment could help her, she was admitted to the MacMillan Unit in Christchurch, Dorset for palliative care. We will always be grateful to this unit for the wonderful care they gave to Holly and for making it possible for her to be at home in her final days.
When the spine cancer took hold, Holly wasn't able to move or feel her legs. So, to remember Holly, a group of family and friends are taking on a challenge to remind us how great it is simply to be able to move around. On Christmas Eve, we are going to bravely use our legs to run, walk or crawl a 10 km route from Studland Beach to Old Harry Rocks, an area that Holly loved.
