Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising money for Marie Curie, a charity dedicated to caring for terminally ill patients. Their services are always free to patients, family and friends due to the support of the public. They have 9 hospices throughout the UK and provide the highest number of hospice beds outside the NHS.
18 years ago I met a beautiful, funny, caring girl with an amazing personality. Since the day we met we have stayed in contact and built a close relationship becoming best friends.
In July 2013 Lex was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She remained strong, kept positive and was a true fighter. Sadly Lex passed away on 1st April 2014. She was a wonderful mother to two beautiful boys Ayden and Laith and always put a smile on everyone's face. She was so young and had so much to live for. She was an inspiration to all her friends and family.
Lex stayed at the Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull, West Midlands from February 2013 where she was able to receive constant care. The doctors and nurses provided excellent care and support network not only for Lex but for family and friends.
