Well Cycle Thailand 2020 didn’t happen because of Covid so we transferred to Cycle Sri Lanka  2022 but that didn’t happen either because of civil unrest in Sri Lanka. So hopefully this is third time lucky for taking part in my sixth, and probably final, overseas challenge for Women V Cancer when was Cycle the Nile in November 2023.

Most of my fundraising for this challenge is already done but the charities can use more so I will try to raise a bit more. I now have an even more personal reason for doing this as on 5th August 2022 I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer following a recall from a routine screening mammogram. At the time of writing this I am four months post surgery and just about to go for my final radiotherapy session which will successfully complete my treatment. Then my focus will be on getting fit enough to cycle in Egypt in November.
