Wellbeing of Women is the women’s health charity saving and changing the lives of women, girls and babies through research, education and advocacy. We do this by investing in world class research, championing education, raising awareness and tackling the taboos that exist in women’s health.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Update 12 Oct 2010: Well to be honest I have not cycled to work too often but I have kept the running up over the summer and I feel I am as ready as I can be for this - thank you so much for all of your support and I will of course up date you on my return!

Update April 2010:  Due to the airline disruption from volcanic ash, our April Trek in the Himalayas has been postponed until 30 October 2010.  This now gives me some extra time to fund raise and, of course, to improve my level of fitness even more!!   Can I last that long though!!  I have started cycling to work and all money saved on fuel is going into the fundraising kitty too!!  Only 60p per day but it will soon add up and, needless to say, your donations and contributions mean a lot and I thank you all very much indeed for your sponshorship and support.

Original note October 2009:

So now the reason I have been seen pounding the pavements around Benson and Ewelme becomes clear!  I have set myself the challenge of getting fit enough to take part in a huge challenge (which at my age and level of fitness isn't easy!)  In April 2010 I will be joining the Girls Get Tough Team hiking the Himalayas and it will be tough ( and with none of the comforts of home!!)

However, I have an even bigger challenge ahead of me right now and I really need the help and support of my many wonderful friends for this one!!  I have to raise a minimum of £3,200 through sponsorship and fund raising for the charity Wellbeing of Women.  I can't do it without your generosity and support and it is for a great cause!

If you know of anyone else who would be interested in supporting this charity and would like to sponsor me I would be really grateful if you could forward this page to them (bottom left hand corner!!)  Thanks a million - now where are my trainers!!!!!!!
