Story
Football Gambia is not just about football….. the main goal is to develop communities to be more sustainable, and to ensure that children and young people from the Gambia get the highest quality life experiences before they reach adulthood.
Previous Successes: Volunteers teamed up with ‘Football Gambia’ in January 2013 and have renovated a medical centre, built the foundations of a nursery, delivered Child Protection Training, developed schools curriculum's, equipped a rural village with 2 professionally dug water boreholes with robust pumps and hoses and developed an agricultural area to grow crops all year round.
Where will your donations go?: Gambia 2014
Your donations will go directly to build a well-needed school provision in this rural, isolated village, and support our volunteers to deliver teacher training including curriculum planning and child protection to over 60 teachers and coaches as well as offering First Aid courses to those working with children and young people and local villagers, enabling them to develop their own life skills.
A team will also be carrying out research in preperation to build an adventure playground on the grounds of the renovated medical centre in Sitanuku, to promote the benefits of play to children’s development, using sustainable resources.
If you feel you can support our work the charity would welcome any donation you are able to make - any contributions will be gratefully received!
Thank you for you support.
