Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I've set this up to make donating as easy as possible for everyone so that you can get involved with helping to raise money for the fantastic RSPCA Stubbington Ark.

I know that there are so many equally worthy hard-working charities around, but I thought it would be nice to support a local charity who really cannot operate without the support of donations and local volunteers.

I will be part of a ten strong team that the Ark have entered, and we each hope to raise a minimum of £150.00 each. 

I have not done any sort of sporting activities since I left school in 1999, but at the end of last year I was so inspired by everyone I knew who had just finished last year's South Run that I immediately contacted the Ark to raise money for them.

I have been jogging on and off since the beginning of the year, and I am determined to complete the South Run within a reasonable time.

The Stubbington Ark is the focus for local RSPCA animal welfare services covering 400square miles including the Portsmouth and Southampton area.

It provides shelter for all manner of animals, domestic, wildlife, farm stock and exotics and there are usually more than 500 animals on site at any one time.

The running costs are extremely high and they have to raise £3,000 per day to keep the shelter running and consequently at times funds can be extremely limited.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - raise more whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
