It never occurred to me how cancer can affect my friends and family. My friend Lucy had been suffering from breast cancer for a while but just read what she had to say about Macmillan Cancer Support...

Macmillan Cancer Support helped me get through the hard times with breast and cervical cancer. They helped me with the aftercare treatments and just to have someone to talk to, they helped deal with the cancer and all the after effects.

They came to my home and helped with medication and emotional support. They are amazing people to know and to have by your side.  During the difficult times, they helped me deal with day to day things, such as cooking, washing, cleaning and anything else that needed doing.

They were there to help with all the pain relief and all my mood swings - It was sad to see them go after everything. It was reassuring to know that they are always there to help me at anytime, if I still need them!

Lucy recently received the news that she wanted to hear - She is 100% cleared of breast and cervical cancer!

Macmillan Cancer Support are the real unsung heroes who deserve all the credit they should get. My sister Linda Jones and I would like to dedicate this charity walk and all donations to all those behind the scenes at Macmillan who helped my good friend, Lucy who has been fighting cancer for a while.
