Derby and District Branch
We need to raise funds for our charity for Cats Protection because we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats
We rescue, rehome, neuter and educate to improve the lives of cats and kittens
Derby and District Branch was formed in 1968 and held its inaugural meeting on 29th April of that year. Branch cat welfare activities are 100% staffed by unpaid volunteers. We care for rescued and unwanted cats and kittens in foster homes. ONLY on the advice of a veterinary surgeon are cats ever put to sleep. The disabled, the elderly, the sick, 'challenge' cats ie cats not deemed to be 'lap' cats - ALL are found new, caring homes, where possible. The Branch believes there is a home for every cat. The aims and objectives of the Branch are, and always will be: a. to help cats and kittens in need by providing food, shelter and veterinary care, b. to operate an active neutering and spaying policy, c. to offer help and advice to cat owners where possible.
