Story

I am Steve Wain a District Councillor for the Matlock All Saints Ward of Derbyshire Dales District Council. This year I have been given the honour of representing the Council as its Civic Chairman from May 2021 to May 2022.

Throughout my year I will be attending events around the District and during my tenure I would like to raise money for my nominated charity, the Air Ambulance Service.

The Air Ambulance Service operates the local air ambulance services for Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Warwickshire & Northamptonshire as well as providing the national paediatric and neonatal transfer service and the Children’s Air Ambulance which cover the whole of the UK. The Air Ambulance Service does not receive funding from the government for its daily missions. It relies entirely on voluntary donations and support from our communities and business. Your support will help keep them flying.

About the charity

We operate the local air ambulances for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, as well as the Children's Air Ambulance across the UK.
