Dear friends and family,

It’s with deep sadness that we have had to say goodbye to Derek Jackson following his passing at home on 20th December 2020. Derek was an incredible husband, father, and grandfather; as well as being a friend, teacher & mentor to many hundreds of people.

Following over half-a-century of charitable and community service, his accomplishments are too numerous to list; suffice to say that he touched many people’s hearts and will continue to do so through our shared memories of his life.

As a legacy of Derek’s commitment to Chester Cathedral, we ask if you might consider making a small donation in his name to help support them in their efforts to keep the doors open for worship during these challenging times.
