Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I know its short notice, but sometimes an opportunity just comes up. I am working as a volunteer for 6 months at the Edna Adan Hospital and University in Hargeisa, Somaliland. I heard that there was to be a marathon here a couple of weeks ago, then as details came out, I found I could take part in a 10Km run. (I'd love to run a marathon, but perhaps here is not the place to start!)

 So since I am here it seemed a great opportunity not to miss, but also to help raise funds for the work here at the Hospital. My wife and I have visited for a couple of weeks each year for the past 5 years, then decided to spend an extended period here from October to April. We have seen at first hand the difference this hospital makes to the lives of many people, particularly women.
