Many people have asked about making a donation in memory of Derek. Homelessness was a cause that he relentlessly fought to bring to an end. Losing Derek at this time has been especially difficult for his family, partner and many friends. One way to celebrate his life is by making a donation to  try to help people in this time of need.

It is hard to protect yourself from the coronavirus outbreak when you're homeless. People who are sleeping rough are more likely to suffer from respiratory conditions. They cannot wash their hands. If someone is sleeping rough or in a crowded night shelter, it is impossible to self-isolate.
