Derek Eley is WW11 Veteran living in Chapel en le Frith. He is 103 Years old on Nov 18th.
He's been in lockdown since March and was unable to attend Remembrance Sunday and is unable to celebrate his birthday as he normally would. Despite being disappointed Derek's resilient and passionate nature shines through, and he has decided he would like to raise £103 for the Poppy Appeal, a pound for every year.
Derek classes himself as 3 years old and no hero, but to us he is.
Derek has been collecting for his beloved Poppy Appeal since the end of the WW11, any donation would mean the world to him.
