I've been putting in some good training for this years event and I'm really looking forward to giving it some welly!

• I'm 38 years of age
• I'm losing my hair ; and
• My aortic mechanical heart valve is now 12 years old and still ticking!!!!

I've bulleted these points as I want to prove to my family and my  son in particular who is a keen runner and obsessed with athletics that if you put your mind to something you can achieve it.

I will be raising money to help the charity Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK based close to my home in Stratford-upon-Avon.  Spinal Muscular Atrophy is a genetically inherited neruromuscular condition that causes progressive muscle weakness and breathing difficulties.

Please give what you can so Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK can help as many people as possible.
