Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

I am running the 2022 London Marathon, I will be raising money for the North Devon Hospice.

North Devon Hospice provides a vital community service, supporting people nearing the end of their lives with palliative care both within the hospice and within patients’ homes. The hospice also supports patients’ loved ones and continues to do so after their loss. While none of us like to think about such things, the end of life care the hospice provides is the best anyone could hope for in such difficult circumstances.

As a registered charity, North Devon Hospice depends on fundraising to survive. And I’m honoured to have won a place at this year’s London Marathon to raise money for this wonderful cause.

I have always enjoyed running, but when the pandemic struck in 2020 I decided to take it more seriously, in the last 18 months I have completed three virtual marathons and set a  new PB for a half marathon in March 2022, But this will be my first actual marathon.  .

I am now starting my Marathon training to make sure I’m ready for the challenge and I’d love your support in reaching my target of £2500 by Sunday 2nd October.

I know times are hard for everyone right now, so anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. I’m motivated and buoyed by the support I’ve received so far from Bray Leino and MISSION group – and thank everyone for their interest and encouragement
