I have walked the 300 or so miles from Lands End to Trafalgar Square to raise money for The Multiple System Atrophy trust (MSA),a registered charity. My mum had this condition (MSA) and you may have seen how much it affected her quality of life.Unfortunately Mum has died since I started my walk
I finished my walk on Sunday 4th December,my sons Oliver and Seb walked the last 15 miles with me and Trafalgar square was a welcome sight !
Many thanks to everyone who donated to the MSA and to those who helped me with my walk.
I remember mum as always dashing about doing something, the church luncheon club, the WRVS, organising a party where she would dress up in an unusual outfit like a chicken or something and delivering one of her famous monologues , always doing something energetic
You will have your own memories of the way mum was but I bet it isn't one of her sitting around doing nothing much, which is, sadly, all she could do at the end.
MSA aims to help sufferers and their relatives, and also fund research into the condition and educate health care professionals.
Please help me smash my target !!!!
