As the father of a child diagnosed with C.F. at the time of her birth it has been a great joy to experience Nancy's transition to adulthood this year. This remarkable outcome has been due to the commitment and input of so many people who have given of their time, skills and effort to ensure that every opportunity was made available to her to allow her to participate fully in life, and to achieve her goals.

She and other sufferers of C.F. face daily challenges with bravery and fortitude. The Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland speaks for them and is deserving of our support to help if to continue its great efforts of behalf of all its members. It is by way of personal celebration and as an acknowledgement of their efforts that I have decided to tackle the "Paris 2 Nice" cycle as part of Team C.F. Ireland this year.
