Debbie Tandem Skydive · 17 February 2020 ·

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans helps all serving and ex-Service men and women who have lost limbs, or lost the use of limbs or eyes, to rebuild their lives by providing rehabilitation activities and welfare support.

Story

I have always wanted to do a skydive, but not quite brave enough to do a solo!  Therefore, alongside me will be Graham (who is doing a solo jump!) and Jo, she and I will be doing a tandem parachute jump, which are booked for May.  I am very excited and can't wait for the experience, however, ask me nearer the time and I might feel slightly differently about it!

The jumps are planned for either Friday 29th May or Sunday 31st May 2020.

We are supporting the Armed Forces Charity Blesma, the Limbless Veterans.  Blesma help improve the lives of serving and ex-service men and women who have suffered life-changing limb loss or the use of a limb, an eye or loss of sight in the honourable service of our country.  They are one of the oldest Armed Forces charities in the UK, formed in 1932 and exist to enable limbless veterans to lead independent and fulfilling lives in their communities throughout the UK.  Further information can also be found on their website www.blesma.org.  We owe so much to our Armed Forces, past and present.
