Story
Thanks for taking the time to click, or maybe your hand slipped.
Now, most of you know that I was initiated into plants and gardening by my grandparents, and used to spend hours in their garden, whether it was dividing Iris, picking Sweet Peas for sale or sowing Runner Beans!
Once my Grandad passed away, my Nana seemed to get weaker, and developed Alzheimers, which was very sad, as she was someone I was very close to, and had learnt so much from.
I was very proud of raise over 3,000 pounds thanks to my jungle adventure last autumn (see the gruelling challenge here: www.planthunteruk.com), but now I want to take that a step further, with a less glamorous trip...
I am planning to trek a challenging (physically and mentally!) 100km across the barren Sahara. I will be totally without my luxuries, no wifi, no running water, no hair wax, no nothing, but plenty of bloody sand.....!
Rather than choosing a scheme where part of your donations go towards the trip, I am self funding, which means 100% of the money I raise will go to the Alzheimer's Society.
So, I would really appreciate your kind donations!
See what it's all about here!
