Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I normally don't participate at fundraising, I find it stressful. This one however puts together my passion for crochet, which I find very relaxing, and my great admiration for care workers.
My dad got sick three years ago and it was difficult for me to look after him. I took time off, went back and forth but he needed something more stable and safe.
We applied for the hospice near home and after waiting a couple of months he was admitted. It's difficult to see them getting old and not being independent anymore. The guilt of leaving them is always present. Everyone would tell me is the right decision, and I know it is, but still my heart it breaks a little ever time I think of him.
Then you meet the angels 😇 that are working to look after your loved one: you see their dedication, patience and good hearts. They understand your concerns, your worries and somehow your heart feels a bit lighter. They are incredible and if they can do that for strangers we can also do our part big or small it doesn't matter, to help them.
This is why I decided to raise money for North London hospice. I want to help in anyway I can and I ask you to help me. Donate something, anything and it will not go unnoticed.
In the meantime I will crochet as many granny squares as possible during the month of February and at the end I will put them together to make a blanket to donate to the hospice.
You can also check out my website www.readysteadymadeit.com, buy something and 50% of the total amount will go to the charity.
