Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Last year I took to the hills and ran an ultra. This year I'd planned to ride between and run the three peaks but given current restrictions I've revised my challenge.

On the 14th of December I'll be riding Dusk till Dawn around 6.66km trail  at Ashton Court. That's over 16 hours in the saddle and to make it more interesting I'll be riding my Gravel Bike.

With more people taking to the hills I want to firstly fundraise for Scottish Mountain Rescue. The mountains are where I personally escape and Mountain Rescue teams have been busier than ever this year.

The mountains are somewhere to unwind and are great for the mind and as such I'm also fundraising for Mind. I raised an amazing amount for this charity last year and I hope to again support them during what has been a hard year for all.

I wanted to come up with a real challenge and this will test me physically and mentally. The 6.66km course is likely to take around 25-30 minutes a lap. 40 laps is possible in this time according to Stava which is a total of 266km and 3000m of elevation gain around the trail. Lush! Let's see how close to those numbers I can get.

Please feel free to join me on the 14th December from approximately 1600 to tow me around, heckle and of course I'd love a small donation.

You can donate to either of my pages depending on if you want to support SMR or Mind. Annoyingly you can't donate to one and split equally through JustGiving.

Thank you if you donate and I hope 2020 has been kind to you in some way.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
