Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year I joined Angmering CC, and this is where I first got to hear about the 'Revolve24' cycling event; the club have been supporters of this event since the start and have always entered it to raise vital funds for various charities. This year, the charity of choice is Stick 'n' Step.

In 2016 the team won the 8-person team title. However, for 2017 the team has seen a few changes and I've been fortunate enough to be drafted in to the fold...no pressure then!

To make matters even more interesting, our 8-person team is splitting into two to take part in a 4-lap Team Time Trial event on the morning before the main event. I've never even considered time-trialling before, but have been given some good advice by fellow team member Tom - "better not to worry and just pedal"!!!

Training is well underway,  although slightly constrained by family commitments (second daughter born last December)! As the year progresses, I'm hoping to get out more to ensure I'm in as good a shape as possible to help the team retain the 2016 title.  The training rides will be made more worthwhile watching the sponsorship total rise in the run-up to the big weekend.

Raising money often comes with cliches, and what I'm about to write is no exception. Every penny that you wonderful people donate, really does count and makes a huge difference to the lives of children suffering with cerebral palsy. The support provided by Stick 'n' Step helps to improve children's mobility, independence and boosts their self-confidence, enabling every child to reach their personal potential - and that's what it's all about!

My fundraising target is £250, and I know that with your generosity and support, we can achieve this...and maybe even surpass it...
