Story

Thanks for visiting!

Our students need stethoscopes!

Doctors For Nepal is a UK-based charity of which I have been a trustee since 2012.  Our mandate is to improve access to health care in rural Nepal, you can read more about us here doctorsfornepal.org

We sponsor medical and nursing students from rural Nepal with no other means of funding their education to study at Patan Academy of Health Sciences in Kathmandu.  These students are committed and bonded to return to rural areas to support health care provision after they graduate.

After generous donations in May we were able to send Littmann stethoscopes to our 5 DFN sponsored medical students approaching or already engaged in clinical training. We have increased the target here as the more junior students are doing community placements and using stethoscopes on a regular basis so we would like to send 2 further Littmann's and purchase 3 to keep in stock for those who will come through in the next couple years.

This JustGiving page is specifically to purchase the stethoscopes, if you would like to donate to the charity more broadly, please visit doctorsfornepal.org

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
