We raise funds for education empowerment to improve life prospects of children

Story

Afghanistan struggles every year to cope with its coldest and snowiest winter, 2018 is not an exception. This year, women, men and the poorest and most vulnerable children of Afghanistan are facing one of the worst winters of the country. The lowest temperature recorded in Kabul at night, gets to a bone-chattering minus 17C and this year is definitely not an exception. The winters has been one of the most severe in the last 15 years. Harsh temperatures plunge many into poverty and cold as they are living in appalling conditions, increasing the risk of death, illness and malnutrition. Many of them lack essentials such as warm clothing, adequate food and proper shelter.

The camps are full of families who have fled the fighting areas like Helmand Province in the south and other areas of Afghanistan. These camps have no heating or electricity. The situation is particularly hazardous for more than 35,000 people living in refugee camps in the middle of Kabul.

As winter is approaching fast, we kindly request your support for our winter appeal to help the people who are vulnerable and poor. We have a duty to help and support the oppressed and fortuneless. They need our support at this time, more than ever before. The need for shelter and emergency relief items is essential to prepare for the worst time. Our appeal is committed to providing life-saving fuel such as coal & wood to heat their homes.
