It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

The Ground Operations Department within DHL Air Ltd decided to support their colleague Zoe Braga when her mother was sadly diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in June 2013.

Zoe's mum Helen battled with this terrible disease for 10 months but sadly lost her fight for life on 5th April 2014, just 10 months after being diagnosed. Helen was aged 51, leaving a husband, her son Adam and her daughter Zoe who plans to marry this year, with her mum sadly missing this major life event. While ill in the Macmillan Unit Zoe suprised Helen for Mother's Day by turning up in her wedding dress, a gift she was honoured to give and a memory to treasure forever. Helen was always helping others and was a true inspiration to people, showing unimagineable strength throughout her battle, always thinking of others rather than herself. A huge character loved by so many, leaving a massive hole in so many peoples lives.

In memory of Helen we aim to help raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK by climbing Snowdon in Wales tethered together as one team! The team comprises of the following:

  • Zoe Braga
  • Tom Middleton
  • Rachel Tanner
  • Mark Daniels
  • Lesley Nesbitt
  • Andrew Fletcher
  • Darren Maynard
  • Phil Greetham

Please show your support by sponsoring us for an extremely worthy charity which is very close to our hearts, DHL will very generously match whatever donations we receive.
