Dress in blue for Diabetes Week 2021 · 17 June 2021

Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. It’s a fight that involves all of us – sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. Join us.

Story

St Mary's Church of England Junior School in Old Basing Hampshire are helping to raise money for Diabetes UK.  On Thursday 17th June, the children will be wearing all things blue as this is the charities brand colour.

Type 1 diabetes currently affects 400,000 people in the UK, including around 29,000 children.  Two of these children currently attend the junior school in Old Basing and I know they will urge you to support this charity which is close to their hearts and their families.  Funds raised help researchers discover pioneering treatments and new technologies that make living with diabetes easier.  Someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes - one day they hope to find a cure.  So please give what you can, thank you!
