Operation New Computers · 5 October 2012

Dial West Cheshire (Dial House) provides Advice, Shopmobility, Community Cafe & Volunteer Scheme which improve the lives of disabled people. The results of our work mean that every year thousands of disadvantaged people experience less poverty, reduced isolation and improved wellbeing.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Please support this fundraising campaign to help us buy ESSENTIAL new computers and support disabled and elderly disadvantaged people to avoid unnecessary poverty.

During 2013 Government welfare reforms will see the introduction of a new welfare benefit called 'Universal Credit' -  involving an on-line only claims process. At DIAL House, therefore, we need to replace our ageing computers to ensure we can continue to support disabled and elderly clients who find the welfare system overwhelming and/or do not have access to computers. Updating our IT system will help to ensure we can continue to offer our service into the future as well as enable disadvantaged people to continue to access the help and advice they need.
