Story
Knowing that kidney patients in the Gambia are dying as most struggle and are unable to afford the vital treatment needed to stay alive. I am reaching out to you all asking to help however you can.
The Gambia is one of the countries that always struggle to fulfill the needs of their patients. It gets worse now that Covid19 is affecting the whole world. The Gambian patients are dying due to the lack of treatment and supplies they desperately need to have their dialysis treatment three times a week.
It breaks my heart seeing these patients dying especially the young ones. Sometimes the minority of patients who can afford it buy their supplies from neighboring Senegal. The remaining patients rely on the Ida Bass Kidney foundation for support. Due to the massive ongoing help of the foundation we need everyone to join in and donate to help the kidney patients in The Gambia and to ensure they still have a promising future.
This fundraising campaign is very close to my heart, as I have experience first-hand the constant lack of these valuable supplies, needed by the patients to have the dialysis treatment needed to stay alive.
So, every penny of support you can provide will help fund the desperately needed supplies in this critical time and will, ultimately, save lives.
