We are a UK charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse, for good. We combine insight from services, survivors and statistics to support people to become safe, well and rebuild their lives. No one should live in fear. It is not acceptable, not inevitable, and with your help, we can make it stop.

Story

Thanks so much for visiting my Just Giving page.

Since founding SafeLIves, I have met so many amazing women who have survived the impact of domestic abuse, so many children (young and old) who grew up with the fear and stigma and increasingly now, men who recognise the how damaging their behaviour has been and need support to change.  At SafeLives we try to make sure that families get the right help when they need it and where they need it - and wherever possible, that they can stay in their home and their community.

We need funds to continue our work across the country and especially now, to give our Pioneers - a wonderfully brave group of survivors - the resources to get their voices heard.

I will be thinking of them as I gulp in water, cycle in fear of falling off, and stagger round at the end when others will really be running.  I couldn't be less like the Brownlee brothers - other than perhaps a bit of grit and determination.
