Thames Bridges Walk 25th July 2010 · 25 July 2010
Hello,
On July 25, Bobbi and I will be walking over London's bridges - a total of about 12.4 miles in order to raise money for Boys Town Jerusalem. I have enlisted Bobbi's help to keep me entertained along the way - perhaps we should call it a sponsored 'walk & talk'!
Situated on an 18 acre campus in Bayit Vegan, Jerusalem, Boys Town is a haven to over 840 Jewish boys and young men, aged between 12-20 who study, and in many cases live at this dynamic, educational residential development. The vast majority of these boys come from poverty stricken and disadvantaged backgrounds, many come from broken homes whilst other boys, usually the victims of anti-Semitism in the countries of their birth immigrate to Israel, where they make Boys Town Jerusalem their new 'home'.
Money raised from this walk really will enrich the lives of those boys who may arrive at Boys Town from 'limited backgrounds' but will certainly leave with 'limitless futures'.
