200 years after Jane Austen · 17 November 2016

Jane Austen's House was the home of Jane Austen for the last eight years of her life and is where she completed all of her novels. The House is run by an independent charitable trust and receives no regular public funding. The Museum relies on visitors and public donations to run.

Story

2017 marks the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen's untimely death. Her major works have been in print ever since and have been enjoyed by so many generations.

It is my aim to try and contribute a little towards the upkeep of the museum in which Jane lived for the last 8 years of her life. Some of the money may also go towards buying personal artefacts which may become available in auctions.
