Wing Walk · 22 August 2022

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Today Saturday 29th October Diane our amazing Receptionist completed the Wing walk. Well done Diane everyone is proud of you.

In addition to our continued work to help support donations to The Brick and, more recently, the Disasters Emergency Committee, which is helping the people of the Ukraine, our selected practice charity for 2022 is the Motor Neurone Disease Association. This was selected by Practice Staff and is particularly close to our heart after losing our Senior GP Partner, Dr Marwan Ghalayini, to this illness almost 5 years ago. He was massively inspirational in his personal fight against this illness which ultimately robbed him of his well earned retirement and time with his four grandsons who have missed him enormously. We want to raise as many donations as we can this year to help others suffering from the effects of this condition which still has no cure. We have one exceptionally brave Receptionist, Diane, who has signed up to complete a Wing Walk in August and we really want people to get behind her and support her - In her own words, she says she wanted to put herself forward to do something really challenging in order to acknowledge the hardships and struggles faced by MND patients every day.

Thanks to everyone who chooses to support such a special and important cause xx
