Story
I initially signed up for my first Swimathon in March 2020 - and we all know things didn’t quite go to plan last year.
I’m revisiting this challenge as I’m keen to maintain the fitness I built up doing our recent Mighty Hike and I’ve also been taking lessons to improve my front crawl (at Clevedon Marine Lake) so I can begin ‘proper’ open water swimming. Moving my Swimathon to the lake is a way to put my new found skills to the rest - not too far from shore!
Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through funding research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Cancer Research UK are the only charity fighting over 200 cancer types but don't receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like you.
I know lots of you have already sponsored me recently for the Mighty Hike so I’m not aiming too high with this one but if anyone wants to support the two great causes below please feel free to click the link :)
