I'm asking you to sponsor me for a walk I did in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care at midnight last Friday. I walked in memory of my much missed father who lost his battle in 1994 and my wonderful mother in law who lost hers last year. I'm aware that most people ask for sponsorship before the event but I really wasn't sure I'd make it and couldn't take your donations under false pretences! I'm asking now after I completed the 13 miles in 3 hours 52 mins.
Big thanks to my friend Shona Johnstone who walked with me in memory of her own Dad. She kept me going with words of encouragement, ibuprofen and chocolate!
A great night pounding the streets of Norwich with wonderful support along the way from the marshals, random spectators and the many tooting horns of cars driving by.
