Story
Four years ago my dad, Isabella's grandad, was diagnosed with lung cancer.
Like most people with inoperable lung cancer the prognosis was not good.
He endured rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Both of these treatments helped keep the cancer at bay but the real game changer was a trial of immunotherapy.
Dad is lucky enough to be participating in a groundbreaking trial of immunotherapy at The Christie Hospital in Manchester.
We are running the marathon to try to raise money for Cancer Research so that ground breaking trials become the norm, and that anyone who is diagnosed with cancer gets the very best treatment.
