Story
I lost my dad in March of 1988 after a long painful battle with prostate cancer that spread to bone cancer. I was only 27 years old with two young children. I remember going through a tough time as I was "Daddy's Girl" and it was devastating losing him. It sure would have been nice to have the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre back then. But they are here now and making a difference in many lives of those going through the Cancer journey. They are also there for their family members too.
I've lost too many family and friends to Cancer through the years. It always reminds me to show love, compassion and understanding for those in my life because we never know what tomorrow will bring. So many people need help and support that aren't aware of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre or don't want to reach out. Everyone deserves support through difficult times and these special caring people welcome members with open arms.
Thank you for all you do!
