I am taking part in Marathon in a Month this July to help support the Irish Cancer Society and the 44,000 Irish people (including me) who each year hear the words "you have cancer".

Those words were said to me on Monday 28th March 2022...bowel cancer that spread to my liver. Two days later, I had surgery to remove the tumour in my bowel, pelvic area and lymph nodes and lucky for me, I didn't need a stoma bag(small win)

6th May, I started chemo which is tough because it is 3 days of chemo every 2 weeks. I shall get round no 5 and no 6 in July.

I am hoping in August to get the positive news that the chemo has worked and the fab medical team in the Mater can operate on my liver to remove the other tumours. After that battle, further chemo.

I celebrate little wins during this journey and I am taking one day and one week at a time with this battle. Still loving ice cream during this time😀

I have set up a virtual collection page to raise vital funds. Now more than ever, cancer patients (like me) need your support.
