Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page set up for brave Didier and his mother, Luz.
We at the UK based support group Caring Matters Now, were extremely touched by the moving documentary produced by Current Sponge productions about six-year-old Didier and his struggle with the rare condition Congenital Melanocytic Nevus (CMN). It's a giant mole that grew so much it covered 40% of his body.
Whilst the operation was very successful, Didier will require ongoing treatment and monitoring in Bogota -- a long way from his small hamlet in Columbia. In recognition of all the awareness his brave participation in the film has raised about CMN, we would like to help raise funds for these costs which are extensive for Didier and his family. Funds raised from this page up to £5000 will go straight to this cause and anything above we will commit to fund CMN Dr. Veronica Kinsler's research conducted at Great Ormond Street Hospital which was featured in the film.
