The Canadian Women’s Foundation supports women, girls and gender diverse people to move out of violence, out of poverty, and into confidence and leadership. Between September 2019 and March 2020, the Foundation made an impact on over a million lives through the funding of 818 community programs across the country, including 128 programs serving First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities.

The work of the Foundation is still more important now than ever as vulnerable women, girls and gender diverse people in Canada continue to be uniquely affected by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Impacts include:
-    increased gender-based violence (1 in 10 women reported being very/extremely concerned about the possibility of violence at home)
-    higher economic insecurity (53.7% of women were impacted by job losses)
-    more unpaid caregiving needs (46% of mothers in Canada said they were reaching their breaking point)
-    Increased burden of caregiving and housework
-    Reduced access to support services

The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken 30 years of gender equality gains, and continues to have an unprecedented impact on vulnerable women, girls and gender-diverse people .The Canadian Women's Foundation was able to make a difference in the lives of over one million women, girls and gender-diverse people in Canada by ensuring they had the programs and services they needed to move themselves out of violence, out of poverty and into confidence and leadership.

First released in the summer of 1988, Die Hard was a massive box office hit that just a decade later began to assume its place alongside "A Christmas Carol" and "It’s A Wonderful Life" as a seasonal classic. The movie featured no less than six male main characters and one female main character…well, until now, anyway.

Die Hard: A Live Online Table Read will once again be adapted and directed by Montreal actor Terence Bowman(www.terencebowman.com).
