DIGITAL BAKE SALE!
Working from home is a real thing these days. So rather than bake 1000 brownies and leave them next to the discarded teabags in an empty office, we've taken to digital delivery.
The last year has been a tough one for many. The loss of jobs, friends, family... social interaction, sport, gigs... it's a long ol' list.
As way of thanks to the supportive people I have had surrounding me throughout this period, I've worked with my good friend Dom to write and record a piece of music during the lockdown period (Feel Alive) - to keep ourselves sane if nothing else.
But this provoked the conversation of "how is everyone else doing?"
THE BAKE SALE PART:
We thought about what office work used to be like... and, of course, office fundraisers. Dress down Friday, the bake sale... champions within their own right!
Now... we are confident many of you don't even bother to get dressed for work now if you can dial-in from home, which left us exploring a Digital Bake Sale.
The music we produced together will be listed on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer, YouTube... the lot! With all proceeds being donated to MIND. This includes streams, so don't worry if you haven't got a spare couple of quid, donate your ears instead. Add it to a playlist and know that every time somebody listens, it is generating a few fractions of a penny for a fantastic cause and helping to support the conversations surrounding Mental Health and Wellbeing.
So whether you choose to make a donation, or simply listen to the track once, you are helping to generate support for others as we begin to emerge from what has been a very testing time.
