Assalamu alaikum! Yemen is currently in the grips of one of the worst humanitarian crises the world has ever seen. The impending coronavirus isn’t the biggest danger our Yemeni brothers and sisters will face this year, but rather hunger and cholera are their two biggest enemies. 29 million Yemenis are currently still in Yemen. 80% of the population are in need of some form of humanitarian assistance and 15 million are on the brink of starvation, due to diminishing access to food. With the world locked in, people are thinking closer to home, but millions will die including children, women and the elderly if we cannot maintain our support for them. UBISOC is teaming up with Mercy Relief, a Birmingham based charity which operates primarily in Yemen. They are working tirelessly to help those affected by ending their hunger, quenching their thirst, providing medication for those suffering from Cholera and ultimately giving them hope.
