London to Brighton · 11 September 2022 ·

The London to Brighton Cycle is back and we are looking to go bigger than ever. The largest ever number of Team Bowel Cancer UK cyclists are coming together with one aim - a future where nobody dies of bowel cancer.

Story

It has been a very difficult time for us all during the last 2 years due to the pandemic.

I took up cycling at the start of the pandemic as I was struggling with home working during initial lockdown.

Cycling gave me the interaction with the outside world and help improve my mental and physical health.

This is my second long ride, however, the London to Brighton brings its own challenges!!

I am cycling for Bowel Cancer UK as appreciation for their vital work, which without doubt contributed to my wife’s full recovery after being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer 11 years ago.

Every year in the UK 42, 000 people who are diagnosed with bowel cancer.

Bowel Cancer UK’s is a leading bowel cancer charity. They fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We’re here to stop people dying of bowel cancer.
